Hayley comes from WA, and began her animal career there as a kennel hand, then stable hand, working as a pacing stable foreman and track worker while studying for her Equine Management Cert 2. She finished her studies with an award for Outstanding Student of the Year before going on to gain her Cert 4 in Veterinary Nursing in 2005, doing extra study in the care of horses and of birds.
In 2015 Hayley drove East to NSW, heading across the Nullarbor and bringing all her beloved pets and even a magpie with her! The horse came over later, and they are now very much at home in Orange. Hayley has a passion for animal behaviour and she loves to befriend and gain the trust of animals every day.
Her love of animals really shines through at work and she has lots of pets too. Mark is a 17 yr old Standardbred stallion, she also has two dogs, a senior cat called Sausage, four Galahs called Bart, George, Dicky and Blu, and Harry the Cockatiel! Outside work, Hayley enjoys photography and getting out in to nature.
