POWPup classes are a fun and educational 5 week course that give your puppy a great start in life and plenty of socialisation. This is essential so you and your family can enjoy your time with him or her.
Your puppy will be trained to focus, sit, drop, leave, calm, come, wait and walk on a loose lead. Vet Nurse Isabel will also provide educational talks and support on all relevant topics such as toilet training, puppy mouthing, resource guarding, how to read dog’s behaviour, digging, chewing, bite inhibition, teaching your puppy to stay home alone and nutrition, to help keep your puppy in good health.
Isabel is a Cert 4 qualified Vet Nurse who also holds AVNAT accreditation, and has worked in veterinary clinics and zoos around the world. Issy trained for 2 years with the Delta Institute, completing the Canine Good Citizen behavioural dog training course. This is a nationally recognised course and makes Isabel one of only a few qualified Delta trainers in the Orange district. The Delta Society offers a positive, reward-based approach to companion animal training.
Puppy classes run for 5 weeks on a Saturday afternoon from 1:30pm-2:30pm.
Pups will graduate with the following PowPup Powers!
Keen awareness – how to read your puppy’s behaviour and how to focus your pup’s attention.
Nerves of Steel – tips to calm your puppy.
Inner Confidence – setting up ground rules for your puppy.
