Sam was born and raised in the Central West, and grew up exploring the bush and wildlife – she was responsible from a young age for all the family pets. She developed a keen interest in animals and their behaviour and anatomy, so Vet Nursing has proven to be the ideal career for her.

Sam completed her Cert 4 in Veterinary Nursing at Orange TAFE in 2018 and joined the Mulberry Lane team at the start of 2019. Sam particularly enjoys parasitology and cytology.

Away from her beloved animals, Sam volunteers at a Shelter where she takes photos, creating online profiles for animals available for adoption, and enjoys wildlife photography too. Sam is interested in anything to do with History and Aviation, and has a goal of one day acquiring her pilots license.

She has held a reptile licence for 13 years, and currently owns a variety of reptiles including 6 pythons of different species, a Bearded dragon, a BlueTongue lizard and a saw shelled turtle. Her more traditional pets are 2 rescue cats, a 14 yr old Bull Terrier and a young Catahoula x Coolie called “Luger”.
